š§ Leveraging Agentic AI, Inspiring 6,000+ Tech Minds & Trends Shaping Innovation
I promise you havenāt seen it done like this!
Greatness.
Yeah, this pretty much sums up the wave #TheTechHustle has been on this entire year.
I just want yāall to know that the wins keep getting bigger and betterāthatās one of the main reasons weāre true to this hustle!
And while weāre on the topic of making things happen, this past month came with the perfect lineup of opportunities that kept our minds on the mission.
In this installment of the #TTH Newsletter š°, Iāll share some highlights from my latest series, āMy Last 30 Days with AI.ā Put simply, this is my attempt to thoroughly understand what AI is capable of when itās pushed beyond the surface.
From there, weāll talk about my experience hosting CodePathās Emerging Engineers Summit 2025 in September. This event attracted more than six thousand attendees and served as the last leg of the organizationās national conference. Adding to that, Iāll share my appreciation for our longstanding partnership with CodePathāa collaborative relationship we truly value.
And before I let you go, Iāll give you a quick rundown of a few topics weāve covered in the latest #TTH podcast episodes.
I hope yāall are still trying to level up, because thatās always the goal.
Welcome and welcome back, family.
Start the clockā¦
š¤Tapped In with Agentic AI š»
BobbyD šØš¾āš»:
AI this, AI that.
Itās safe to say that by now we know a thing or two about what AI is capable of. Weāre hearing the stories, witnessing the innovation firsthand, and watching the use cases in real time.
All thatās great, but yāall know me! Iām an engineer through and through! A hands-on type of person, and Iāll never pass up an opportunity to experience something for myself.
In this case, I wanted to understand how AI really works (from an engineerās perspective).
The gameplan: I set out on a mission to leverage agentic AI, giving it the task of recreating a hyperscale-inspired system designed to schedule GPU workloads on the edge of the internet.
I accomplished milestones in hours and days for tasks that would have taken weeks and months pre-AI. And week after week, I documented the challenges, the lessons, and the wins:
Needs and expectations required that I moved away from chatbots and into workspaces
Discovered OpenAI Codex ā> Codex Cloud; used it to build my junior engineer, _Kodax
Got to work on writing my specs, the blueprint _Kodax would follow to deliver on the goal at hand
Paired the capabilities of _Kodax and _Jules (my advisor/strategist AI) to ensure we
reached the next rung in structure + mentorship
Introduced Pulumi (deployments), Ansible (configuration), and Atlas (inventory system) to the mix
In a little less than a month, I was able to:
Successfully deploy resources across AWS and GCP;
Build a configuration management layer with Ansible; and
Develop Atlas, a Tier-0 host database service with its own Python + Go client.
Talk about reaching highs, but never reaching limits! š¶
It really is time for yāall to get tapped into this AI playbook, peeps. Artificial intelligence is sure to become a central force in our futureāassuming it isnāt already at that point.
Progress in the Process:
Chapter 1 (Day 0): Letās Talk About My Last 30 Days in Tech
Chapter 2 (Day 1): Whispering to AI ā Mentoring _Kodax
Chapter 3 (Days 3ā5): Specs, Standards, and the Birth of _Jules + _Kodax
Chapter 4 (Days 5ā10): What a Week Weāve Had ā Cloud as the New Edge
Chapter 5 (Days 11ā15): Atlas Rising ā Connecting Pulumi and Ansible
Chapter 6 (Days 16ā20): Building a Global Cluster with AI
In this series called āMy Last 30 Days with AI,ā Iām exploring the power and potential of agentic AI. Catch up on these chapters (above) to see where I am in the process and what happens next.

š¤#TTH & CodePath: EES 2025 + Partnership
#TheTechHustle has put yet another check on the board.
This time, your boy stepped in to host CodePathās Emerging Engineers Summit 2025, a virtual event aimed at preparing early-career tech talent for the road ahead through learning and networking.
The outcome was exactly what we needed it to be: Over 6,000 participants joined the virtual summit, making it one of the largest CodePath EES events to date. We definitely had the best of the best in attendanceāstudents and speakers. Not to mention, there was an entire three-day schedule of keynotes, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities.
My only question is, were you there?
#TTH x CodePath
The team and I have to give a very special shoutout to CodePath for empowering emerging engineers and providing a platform where the voices of underrepresented technologists can be amplified. Their mission centers on democratizing tech education as well as fostering diversity in engineering roles.
#TheTechHustle has been fortunate enough to call CodePath a partner for the past few years, and we wouldnāt have it any other way. In our role, we navigate between amplifier, host, and serving as a bridge to connect top talent to opportunity.
If you arenāt already connected with CodePath, I invite you to explore their programs and courses and definitely make plans to engage with #TTH at upcoming EES events.
ā¶Latest from #TheTechHustle Podcast
Hereās a quick recap of our Tech Talk discussions from the past few episodes.
#TheTechHustle Podcast - Episode 69:
Honestly, AI continues to amaze me. In this episode, I share an example of just how fast weāre able to develop and solve problems when utilizing AI. Tune in and listen to my experience with building a secure file-sharing application called FShare by using OpenAIās tools. And get this: it only took 15 minutes.
I also share my opinion on how integrated development environments (IDEs) are becoming obsolete in the age of agentic AI.
#TheTechHustle Podcast - Episode 70:
Never thought weād see the day when people become emotionally invested in AI.
Yet, here we are.
If you have a few minutes, listen as I discuss the unexpected (yet fascinating) psychological response to the release of ChatGPT-5. To sum it up, many users feel the new model lacks āconnectionā and āpersonality,ā and therefore donāt trust it the way they did GPT-4.
This speaks heavily to the ethical complexity of AI dependence.
#TheTechHustle Podcast - Episode 71:
In this Tech Talk, I go into a few details about the various ways major tech earnings are reflected in the AI boom.
Let me put it like this: the dynamics of advertising are changing, and AI has a lot to do with it. Listen to our convo about production costs and what content generation looks like now that AI is involved, then let us know your thoughts in the comments.
Make sure youāre tuning in weekly to hear us discuss the latest and greatest AI tools and topics. Also, Iāll continue to demonstrate the productivity gains I experience while partnering with AI.
Not Goodbye, Just See You Later⦠šš¾
Iāll wrap this one up by saying that we really appreciate yāall, our #TTH fam.
What we do means a lot, but who we do it for means even more.
Hopefully thereās some info you found valuable in this newsletter. Take what resonates and use it to get you started on the next phase of your tech journey.
And remember: itās always getting better! Letās keep this thing goingāthe culture needs us!
Until next time! Peaceā¦āš¾
