New AI Protocol, Apple’s Data Center Hustle & #TTH | Academy🎓Launch
We're on a run for 2025. Lace up, fam!
Knock, knock!
Just like that, we’re back in your inbox with another dose of tech greatness!
How’s everybody doing, though? What’s the weather and vibes like in your corner of the world?
Hopefully you’re feeling your best and ready to apply some new knowledge so you can get to the next level in your own hustle.
In this installation of #TheTechHustle Newsletter 📰, we’re continuing the conversation about the way AI is changing the tech game. There’s a new standard on the scene and it goes by the name of Model-Context Protocol, or MCP. We’ll also talk about Apple’s late-but-better-than-never push to secure its seat at the table with its crazy investment in AI data centers.
To wrap it up, I’ll share an update on our #TTH Tech Tour, then pass the mic to Mr. Raymond…Don’t Call Him Ray-Ray for a few much-needed nuggets. Finally, we’ll close out our time with D’Hustle who’ll share some of the hottest industry headlines in the press right now.
If it’s your first time here, WELCOME! If you’ve been ridin’ shotgun for a while, WELCOME BACK!
…but FIRST
We’re one month closer to the launch of the #TTH | Academy 🎓.
On June 19th (Juneteenth 2025 ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿), we’ll be hosting our first official webinar where we’ll be sharing all the details about what you can expect from the Academy.
Our focus will be on AI development as it relates to being a software engineer, infrastructure engineer, and systems engineer, and then putting all that together with career development and opportunities for you to really level up in the space.
This is going to be a game changer!
I can’t wait to see you all there! If you haven’t already, join the waiting list so you can stay in the loop and notified of the launch. 👉🏾 link
💫 Model-Context Protocol: Toward Agentic AI
BobbyD 👨🏾💻:
The topic of conversation today is Model-Context Protocol, a new open-source standard that is revamping the rules on how AI agents interact with external data, services, and tools.
Up until now, AI agents have been doing their fair share of responding to prompts—think: code writing and report summarizing—but the buck really stopped there. Only recently have we began moving into what’s called the artificial general intelligence (AGI) era where agents now have the capacity to learn, reason, and use human-like cognitive abilities to carry out certain action items. (I went into detail on AGI in last month’s #TTH newsletter.)
What this essentially translates to is AI agents being able to perform tasks in the same way you and I do—that task could be anything from composing and sending an email to purchasing concert tickets, updating your calendar, etcetera.
And as great as this sounds for the future of AI, there’s one problem: when it comes to agents communicating with service provider / application APIs (application programming interfaces), each company whose API is being used typically has its own way of defining what each action looks like.
Enter Model-Context Protocol.
The company behind this next-level innovation in AI is Anthropic. The purpose of MCP? To standardize how applications provide context to large language models (LLMs) with the goal of agents acting autonomously across time. This, my friends, will be exactly what moves the needle on creating true agentic AI.
Y’all ready to see how far this goes?! I know I am!
Listen, AI was already intelligent; but with MCP, it’ll now be every bit of useful. Best believe that next-gen AI experiences are right around the corner.
If you want to hear more of my knowledge on MCP, check out Episode 59 of the #TheTechHustle Podcast 🎙.

🏢 Apple’s Gameplan for AI Data Centers
It’s true.
Apple has officially set its sights on AI data centers—so much so that word on the street is that the tech giant will be putting up about $1 billion to build a reasonably sized AI cluster.
Impressive, yes. But does anyone else feels like they’re a little late to the game? It honestly kind of feels like they’re the last one to join this race, but hey, better late than never—right?
According to a few reputable sources, Apple’s data centers will be used to support Siri, the company’s voice-activated intelligent assistant. With this new venture will come partnerships with Dell and Supermicro as well as about 20,000 tech jobs.
I talk more about this pivotal move in Episode 60 of #TheTechHustle Podcast 🎙.
Just being honest…
It would seem like Apple is lacking in the innovation department. It really appears as though the company has decided to take a ‘buy over build’ approach and seek out partnerships with and purchases of companies that have already proven their services as it relates to AI. This may work for a while, but with the direction AI is headed, I’m not confident that it’s enough to keep them at the top of the tech industry.
In any case, throw a few claps in for Apple since they’re at least making an effort to not be left behind entirely. Let’s just hope they pick up the momentum soon because 🗣️AI AIN’T WAITIN’ ON NOBODY!
🎙️Backstage with BobbyD
If you haven’t already, I highly recommend that you check out the mini-episode of Backstage with BobbyD where we spent a few minutes with Cedric Nash who shared tidbits of his immense knowledge of investing and creating long-term wealth.

📰 DHustle’s News & Current Events (April)
There’s always some d*mn news in this industry!
DHustle 💆🏽♂️:
🗞️ Meta Ray-Bans Limited Edition Release
The new limited edition Ray-Ban Meta x Coperni smartglasses hit shelves mid-March.
Highlighted for its “perfect blend of style, design, and cutting-edge technology,” these limited edition specs will set you back about $549. There are only 3,600 available, so if you’re in the market for some fresh frames, you better act fast.
🗞️ Amazon to Remove Echo Privacy Setting
As if there isn’t already enough to worry about when it comes to protecting our data, now Amazon has decided that it will completely remove the option of ‘Do Not Send Voice Records’—meaning everything your Echo devices record you saying is being sent to and stored in the company’s cloud.
This is concerning because what could this mean for our privacy moving forward? Do we now have to worry about other companies following suit? Crazy world we live in.
🗞️ ANOTHER Apple Update
The latest version of iOS and iPadOS is 18.4.1. At this point, updates are being released back-to-back.
The problem is not the updates, it’s that Apple can’t seem to get something right. What that ‘something’ is, I don’t know. But, I mean dang! How many more updates, Apple?!!! The people are tired!
🗞️ RAT Malware for Crypto Theft
A new remote access trojan (RAT) has been discovered by Microsoft.
But, this ain’t no ordinary RAT—rather, it’s one that has adopted “sophisticated techniques” that allows it to extract sensitive data and avoid detection. The malware targets crypto wallets like Coinbase, Trust Wallet, and Metamask, to name a few.
They’re calling it StilachiRAT. More like Stil-all-yo-ish-RAT.
Stay safe, y’all.
🗞️ SmartCard: AirTag Wallet Alternative
I think we can all agree that AirTags are bulky and the opposite of anything we’d prefer to carry around in a place like our wallets.
But, is there a way to get the benefits of having an AirTag without the…big-ness?
There is now. The perfect alternative is SmartCard—a versatile, lightweight, and sleek card that looks exactly like your debit / credit cards and offers the same benefits as an AirTag. You can pick one up for $40 at Best Buy or a pack of three for only $90.
Not Goodbye, Just See You Later… 👋🏾
It’s a pleasure to bring y’all fresh insight on tech and AI each month.
I just hope you’re doing what you need to do with this knowledge. There’s a lot of opportunity out here, and y’all deserve every bit of it.
That said, don’t just talk about it, fam; be about it!
Hopefully there’s some info you found valuable in this newsletter. Take what resonates and use it to get you started on the next phase of your tech journey.
