Now, let’s get to what y’all came here for…
It’s AI’s World: AGI, Open Source AI, etc…
BobbyD 👨🏾💻:
You can’t really argue against this.
Not a day goes by that there isn’t some new progress in the AI landscape that reinforces the world’s commitment to broader AI adoption.
Don’t believe me? 👇🏾
Artificial General Intelligence (aka…AGI)
One of the latest developments is called AGI which stands for artificial general intelligence. I can tell you this right now, AGI is that next step that many of us have been anticipating; without a doubt, it’s really going to set things in motion for AI becoming a part of our daily lives.
So, what AGI is—in simplest terms—is a form of AI that is ‘always running.’
Allow me to explain: As it stands, the way we use AI is pretty much in a one-way-communication fashion. In other words, you give it a prompt, it processes your request and produces the info you need, then that’s the end of the interaction until you initiate another exchange.
Well, AGI goes beyond that by performing tasks in the same way a human would in terms of interactions, etc. AGI will have intellectual knowledge that is complimentary to human beings. This will essentially result in AI models that are more powerful, more capable, and more accurate.
Quite honestly, I think we’re closer to AGI than most think. It really wouldn’t surprise me if these models were achieved by 2026.
AI in the Open Source space
Most of us are familiar with open source, but in case you don’t know what it is, it’s basically a way for software to be developed in the public space. Think of it as being open access to a source code.
Some companies open source their programs/softwares, while others don’t. An example of the latter is Microsoft which carries the reputation of being a private, closed-source operating system and software company because everything is produced behind closed doors; you’ll never get to see the actual source code.
But this particular practice of open sourcing code is common in software engineering and the tech industry as a whole. Primarily because people prefer to work in open, transparent spaces—and one of the most common places you can find open-source applications and software is GitHub.
Now, how AI fits into this is interesting and actually quite genius. As you can imagine, there are considerable costs associated with with building and training AI models. But, there is now a way to build AI models that do what proprietary AI models do but at a much lower cost and in the public realm. Doing it this way makes sense for a lot of reasons.
I'm more or less looking forward to more companies and even regular contributors increasing their contributions to open source projects. In my opinion, this is the way it should be.
With all this said, you can’t afford to ignore or underestimate how AI is going to change the tech game in the coming months and years, family.
If you want to learn more, check out Episode 54 (AGI) and Episode 55 (AI in open source) of #TheTechHustle Podcast 🎙where I go into more detail about both topics.

🎙️Black Wealth Summit 2025
The crew and I pulled up to the Black Wealth Summit 2025 at Florida Memorial University (FMU) at the beginning of March.
We were given the opportunity to be the exclusive podcast provider and ended up getting some pretty fire content that we’ll be releasing soon.
Big shoutout to The Source Groups for sponsoring this incredible conference that focused on educating attendees on how to master tools for financial freedom.

⛓️💥DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com
Nothing worse than going to your favorite site…and it doesn’t load.
A few refreshes and still nothing? That’ll sure to have you wondering if the site is down for everyone or just you.
Lucky for you, you can check on site, service, and app outages on a site called downforeveryoneorjustme.com. This site will help you save time and frustration.
🌐 LetMeGoogleThat.com
If you’re like me and have a family member or two who struggle with clicking on the right search result on Google, this site should surely help out. Letmegooglethat.com is designed to help you teach your family and friends how to use Google better. You can send them direct links to sites so as to save them the hassle of having to sift through search results for the right one.
According to the site, this service is perfect “For all those people that find it more convenient to bother you with their question than to google it for themselves.”
📧 Temp-mail.org
Every once in a while, we find ourselves in need of a disposable temporary email. It could be for whatever reason, but what we know is that we don’t want to enter our real email address to receive that verification code, advertising, etc.
If this sounds like you, you’re in luck. Temp-mail.org offers disposable, 10-minute emails that you can use to get what you need and go on about your life.
👨🏿💼 GetHuman.com
Gone are the days where we can simply hit ‘0’ or say ‘Representative’ and get connected with a real human when calling a company.
These companies have stepped their game up and made it all kinds of impossible to get through unless you hit a specific sequence of number options on the automated part of their systems.
But instead of calling two or three times and going through trial and error to determine what that sequence is, you can go to Gethuman.com, type in the company you’re calling, and it will provide you with the exact number options to press to get through to a live representative.

DHustle 💆🏽♂️:
🗞️Samsung Galaxy 25
Android users, listen up! The Samsung Galaxy 25 is here.
So, if you’re in the mood for a new phone, you’ll be happy to know that Amazon is offering more than $100 off. You can pick up a new Galaxy 25 (128GB SSD) for $700.
Sale ends March 31.
🗞️Apple Updates
Apple is still releasing back-to-back updates. Talk about can’t get it right.
The latest update is 18.3.2 for iOS and iPadOS. This update provides important bug fixes and security updates. It also fixes an issue that was preventing playback for certain streaming content.
🗞️OnePlus Open 2
Word on the street is that there could be a OnePlus Open 2 hitting the market soon—and it’ll be bringing all the bells and whistles with it:
Glacier Battery technology
OxygenOS
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
…and a lot more
You can expect the same $1,800 price tag as the OnePlus Open that debuted in 2023.
🗞️Apple, Apple, Apple…
Apple has put its foot down and is not allowing iPhone users to revert to an earlier version of iOS. Of course, this is the company making sure it does not expose its users to safety concerns or certain other vulnerabilities.
And speaking of Apple, iOS 18.4 is set to be released on Tuesday, April 1. The biggest changes we can expect to see are Apple Intelligence updates, new features for Apple Photos and Apple News+, as well as a few bug fixes, among other things.
Also, Apple Intelligence is coming to Apple Vision Pro in April. Fun.
🗞️Chase Cuts Social Media Zelle Payments
Chase Bank is no longer chancing it with peer-to-peer transfers. The bank has officially began blocking Zelle payments identified as originating from social media. According to Chase, almost 50% of scam reports it receives originate on social media.
🗞️Grok 3
Y’all’s favorite tech titan Elon Musk is in the news again. This time it has to do with the recent release of Grok 3. According to Musk, Grok 3 is “more powerful” than he thought it would be. And for that reason, he is expecting it to outperform both OpenAI and DeepSeek.
Let’s see if he puts his money where his mouth is with this one—not that, that would be hard for him to do, but you get it.
