🐦 Farewell to the Bluebird: BobbyD's Reflection on Twitter's Iconic Logo 🚀
👨🏾💻:Hey, fam! It's BobbyD, and I'm here to pour my heart 💔 out about the rebranding of our beloved Twitter. Let me tell you, it's been one heck of a ride, and seeing this iconic platform change to "X" hits me right in the gut. Twitter has been so much more than just a job for me; it's been a part of my life, and it's had a global impact that can't be denied.
Back in the day, when that Bluebird logo was still soaring high, I had the privilege of working at Twitter, and yall, it was an experience like no other. The culture, the people, the vibe – it all felt so right. Twitter embraced inclusivity and empathy, and that's what made it special. Being my authentic self was not just accepted; it was celebrated! As a 👨🏾💻 engineer, let me tell you, that meant the world to me. It empowered me to promote diversity and empathy within the organization and beyond.
I’ve spoken at conferences around the world, repping Twitter like a badge of honor. Sharing my journey and the positive impact it had on my life was not just a proud moment for me, but for our entire community. It showed how a tech giant like Twitter could shape the world for the better.
Now, seeing this rebranding feels like a chapter of history is being rewritten. The Bluebird, that iconic logo that represented so much to me, is going away, and it hurts. The memories, the accomplishments, the moments of growth – it all feels like it's fading away. But you know what? I won't let it. I'll carry that legacy with me and continue to advocate for the impact Twitter made on my life and on the world.
I mean, come on, folks! Twitter was more than just a platform; it was a place where techie dreams came true. I had the chance to work with one of the world's largest compute clusters ( hyper-scale distributed infrastructure) – talk about life-changing! The skills I developed, the experiences I had – they shaped me into who I am today.
So, as we say goodbye to the Bluebird, I want to remind everyone of the impact it had. I'll keep sharing my story, repping Twitter v1.0 with pride, and spreading the message of #LoveWhereIWorked, 'cause it's true! The engineering experience gave me so much, and I won't let that be forgotten.
So here's to you, LarryBird 🐦. You'll forever hold a special place in my heart, and I'll continue to talk about you and represent you wherever I go.
Let's keep hustlin', y'all, and carry that culture with us every step of the way!

📰 A Journey Back in Time: My Unforgettable Visit to Twitter HQ 🏙️
💆🏽♂️:Hey, familia! DHustle, back with some fresh news for y'all. Today, I wanna take you back to 2016 when I had the honor of visiting the legendary Twitter HQ, all thanks to my main man, BobbyD. Let me tell you, it was a trip I won't forget anytime soon.
So, me and the fam rolled up to San Francisco to visit my sister and her family (...aka: BobbyD), and guess what? BobbyD was working at Twitter, one of the coolest places in the tech world. And BobbyD, bein' the real MVP, hooked us up with an exclusive tour. Not just a quick peek in the cafeteria, nah! We were strolling through them hallways, soak in' up that Twitter vibe like it was magic.
To keep this short… Visiting the Twitter HQ will always be a memorable experience that really changed my view on what a productive, engaging, and inviting workplace could be. I even asked BobbyD for a referral after visiting…because the gourmet lunch was 🔥🔥🔥!
Now, let me be real with y'all. Twitter's goin' through some changes, and the Bluebird logo, meant more than just a symbol; it stood for a whole culture of inclusivity, innovation, and free expression. I hope that spirit lives on, even with the rebranding.
In other news. I've been hearing that Twitter is losing some celebrities to Meta Threads. Yeah, it's true, according to the NYTimes. Celebs making the switch to the new platform, and I'm wonderin' how that's gonna shake things up.
But you know what? We're gonna keep hustlin' and bring you the latest in the tech world. So, to the Bluebird, to the memories, and to keepin' it real – farewell, my friend. We'll catch you on the flip side.
Peace out! ✌️
