Whatβs the vibe, tech family?
Itβs a beautiful day in these tech streets, and we are excited to be back in your inbox with another rundown of the greatness and levels weβre after.
First on the agenda, I have some knowledge to share from a special podcast segment we did with an expert in the tech marketing field.
After that, weβll chop it up about whatβs new with the #TTH community, our latest stop on our tech tour (ya boy was on stage!), the podcast episodes thatβll be dropping soon, and our monthly spotlight nomination.
Finally, weβll wrap things up with my main man Raymond and his nuggets and news updates from the one and only DβHustle.
We doing tech the long way over here!
To our new peeps: Welcome. To our day 1s: Welcome back.
The mic is hot! Letβs talk.
β A Chat with CyberSells Founder Alex Courson
BobbyD π¨πΎβπ»:
I recently had the pleasure of sitting down with Alex Courson, a dynamic leader in marketing, sales, coaching, and consulting. This was a fun and insightful discussion because we delved into a lesser-seen side of this tech game weβre in: marketing.
For a lot of us, marketing probably doesnβt cross our mind until weβre ready to get our product/service in front of the audience we designed it for. But, even at that point, whatβs the best way to go about it? Β
Alex and I talked about her business, CyberSells, and how it came about as a solution for techies who put their all into perfecting their work but fall short when it comes to marketing it.
One thing I can say is that thereβs a lot that goes into it! But thatβs where Alex and her team shine by offering vendor and MSP solutions that focus on accountability and a systemized approach to sales and marketing.
πOne of the major gems I pulled from our convo has to do with data. We as techies know how important data is in our everyday work, right? Well, it also plays a major role in informing sales and marketing decisions to validate if weβre going in the right direction and customers actually want what weβre offering.
Alex is clearly doing a lot of great things in this space! Not to mention, her company recently finalized a merger-acquisition with a larger company called Channel Program. She is out here putting in the work!
You can learn more about Alex, her company, and all the amazing moves sheβs making to support tech greatness in Episode 43 of #TheTechHustle Podcast.
π’ANNOUNCEMENTπ’ #TTH Skool Community
One thingβs for certain and two things for sure, the #TTH Skool Community is growing and doing what it needs to do!
Weβre nearing the 300-member mark, and weβre crazy excited for whatβs to come! Big, big shoutout to each of our members β Yβall are the reason we do what we do!
Now, yβall know that with progress comes necessary adjustments along the way.
That said, as we climb into this next level of greatness, weβre officially moving away from being a free community.
πStarting Sept 1, the #TTH Skool community monthly membership will be $14.95
The goals havenβt changed, theyβve just been expanded. Weβre leveling up left and right, which means weβre turning it up a few notches from this point forward.
So, yeah, tell your friends, your family members, and your coworkers, peers, and everybody you know to join us over on Skool!

#TTH Tech Tour
If you thought we slowed down with the #TTH tour, we havenβt!
We added another pin πto the #TTH Tour map with this monthβs stop in Houston where we pulled up to the Black is Tech Conference.
The experience was twice as nice because yours truly had two sessions in the event! I gave a speech called Behind the Cloud at Twitter 1.0, and I was a part of the panelist discussion where we talked about the vital connection between computer science and the Black community.
Donβt be scared to show your boy some love in the comments below!
Upcoming Podcasts
We have some fire π₯ podcasts that weβll be pushing out in September. Trust me, you donβt want to miss out on these.
We were able to get episodes recorded while in San Francisco, New York City, and Houston. Be sure to subscribe to #TheTechHustle YouTube channel so you know as soon as we upload new content.
Member Spotlight Nominations
As yβall know, weβve been doing a member spotlight piece on different #TTH members since about May. But, unfortunately, this month (August) we didnβt have any nominations.
We canβt be missing months like this, peeps! We want to keep this going, so let us know who yβall would like to see featured next. If you want to nominate yourself, thatβs cool too!
Our goal is to have a spotlight writeup for every #TTH member! But we definitely need yβallβs help with making that happen.
If youβre interested in being featured in a spotlight write up, fill out this form.

βΉοΈApple Ad Fail β
Itβs not often that Apple gets it wrong, but when it doesβ¦oh boy.
In early May, the company released its βCrush!β ad that was supposed to promote its new iPad Pro. The problem was that the ad showed things like musical instruments, cameras, books, and other creative tools being crushedβessentially implying that all these things are available within the new iPad Pro.
Well, folks werenβt happy with the visuals of the iPad Pro offerings. The response was a combination of strong backlash and negative sentiment. A majority of people feel that the ad illustrates Appleβs attempt to remove the human element from creativity.
And then this: Samsung wasted no time responding to this epic blunder with an βUncrushedβ ad that confirmed how we all feel: βCreativity cannot be crushed.β
Haha. Well played, Samsung. Β
βΉοΈShow Recommendation: Presumed Innocent
Back with another show recommendation! This time itβs Presumed Innocent.
This one is also an Apple TV+ exclusive. I donβt want to tell yβall the storyline because I highly recommend that you go check it out for yourself, but I will say that itβs a courtroom thriller.
I also want to recommend that you get Apple TV+ if you donβt already have it. Stats show that Apple TV is one of the best streaming TV platforms that no one knows about.
π° DHustleβs News & Current Events (August)
DHustleππ½ββοΈ:
Apple Intelligence Delayed: Thereβs a lot on the horizon for the much anticipated Apple Intelligence; itβs just the horizon is a bit far. Itβs being reported that Apple Intelligence wonβt be released until 2025. This, however, does not affect the release of the iPhone 16, which is scheduled to be introduced in September.
Intel Offering Extended 2-Year Warranty: In what could be looked at as an effort to stay alive in the viciously competitive tech game, Intel is offering a an extended two-year warranty on its 13th and 14th Gen Core Raptor Lake CPUs.
Nvidia Shares Tank: Earlier this month, Nvidiaβalong with the others of the βMagnificent 7β stocksβsuffered a massive loss in market cap. In total, the Mag 7 saw about $650b of their valu wiped out. Β
Video Game Actors on Strike: We embrace and talk about the best side of AI all the time, but thereβs also a not-so-pretty side. In this case, video game actors are on strike over disagreements concerning worker protections against AI tech. The concern now is how long this strike could potentially last. The Verge reports that the last video game strike lasted 11 months.
