That said, the crew and I have been on both ends of the map, tapping in with the best of the best and making magic happen. But weâre back in the building and ready to drop a few gems in your inbox.

San Francisco one week. New York City the next.
In case you hadnât heard, #TTH took CodePathâs Emerging Engineers Summit (EES) from the West Coast to the East Coastâand every minute was a vibe!
At the end of July, we touched ground in the Bay Area for the first ever EES LIVE event.
Round two was in New York City at the beginning of August. At EES NYC (Aug 7-9), passionate and aspiring tech talent came together for three days of knowledge building and industry prep.
Didnât attend the SF or NYC event? Not a problemâŚ
Next on the calendar is the EES Virtual Summit thatâll be taking place September 9-11, 2025. If youâre a CodePath student, make sure you secure your EES Virtual Pass for this event. I canât imagine youâd want to miss an experience that would give you front-row access to learning and networking opportunities. This is just one more way you can start leveling up in your tech journey.

đImitate or Innovate: The AI & Tech Long Game
The race for AI and tech leadership is getting more intense by the day.
Iâm pretty sure youâve noticed it: the biggest names in the industry are in constant competition for dominance and to drive market shifts in their favor. I mean, the stakes are high, but the egos are higherâand that actually works because consumers and users are the ones winning.
A few examples:
Apple & Michelin 5âStar Collabs
The relationship between tech and gastronomy got a little stronger after Apple announced that reviews and insights from expert sources are now integrated into Apple Maps. This update allows users to discover top-ranked hotels, golf courses, etc., as well as search for and make reservations at MICHELIN-starred restaurants.
The goal here is clearly to make tech more useful and ensure user experience is as seamless as possible. Apple said, what yâall want next?! Itâs nothing!
Tesla Gets an AI Upgrade
If thereâs one company thatâs never shied away from loud and bold innovation, itâs Tesla.
The latest AI advancement to hit the dashboard is the integration of Grok as an AI companion. The feature is said to offer âhands-free, conversational assistance for a variety of tasks,â with the exception of vehicle navigation and climate control.
OpenAI Releases GPT-5
The beginning of August 2025 brought with it the release of GPT-5. According to OpenAI, this model is the companyâs ââŚbest AI system yet.â
What itâs looking like is that GPT-5 will act as a foundational LLM that, one, writes code really well; two, executes functions and tasks (not so much independently but more in the capacity of an autonomous AI agent); and three, optimizes communication. Moreover, efficiency, deeper reasoning, and streamlined functionalities are a few more capabilities that will enable GPT-5 to outperform previous models.
So, what are your thoughts on this race to the top? Itâs obvious these companies are committed to doing whatever it takes to increase their position as front-runners in tech and AI.
