Yo!!! it’s BobbyD fresh off the journey across the pond…
Imagine soaring high above the clouds, headed to the city of London. A reality I’d been nurturing since 2022, an ambition dream manifested at the dawn of time, was about to bloom. The power of dreams and the strength of will were propelling me to take the stage at a grand conference - LeadDev, Staff Plus. An electrifying experience, yes, but also a reflection of my journey and a reminder that I represent the rare 1% in the world of engineering.
On that stage, under those bright lights, they saw me — not just an engineer, but an embodiment of my culture, my heritage, and my unique journey. The applause resonated, not just for the tech wisdom I was sharing, but for the unprecedented path I had carved. A path made visible to the world, a beacon for those who dare to follow.
I am BobbyD, an engineer who defies expectations, who moves to his own beat, who’s taking engineering to a level unseen before. From my little corner of the world to the city of London, my journey has been a testament to the fact that dreams are, indeed, achievable.

It was an incredible opportunity to deliver a thought-provoking talk titled “Unmasking Imposters by Debugging Doubt.” The focus of my talk was to shed light on the importance of creating an inclusive environment where engineers can thrive and develop into exceptional super engineers. I emphasized the significance of fostering a sense of belonging, where doubts and insecurities can be addressed and overcome. By unmasking the imposter syndrome and cultivating an environment of support and understanding, we can empower engineers to reach their full potential. It was an honor to share my insights and contribute to the ongoing conversation about building inclusive tech communities.
